The enhancement of your natural lip color. This can be customized from a beautiful tint to a bolder coverage depending on your starting point, and preference. Lip blushing redefines the border of your lips, corrects minor asymmetry, and can even out any scars/uneven coloration. While this service can give you the illusion of bigger and fuller lips, tattoo cannot be done outside of the natural border of your lips! The touch up is required at 8-16 weeks after the initial session

 FAQs

  • Lip blushing is known to redefine the natural lip border and enhance the color throughout, often giving the appearance of bigger lips. However, I am confined by the vermillion border of your lips and I cannot tattoo outside of that border. If I were to do so, it would create an obviously over-lined look! If you are looking for more volume in your lips, you should consider lip filler. Very minor adjustments can be made to the shape of your lips but they must be made within the vermillion border.

  • Many people are prone to cold sores, as long as you are taking an antiviral prescribed by your doctor, your chance of an outbreak will be minimized. For some that have never experienced an outbreak, tattooing can trigger one. Please note that this doesn't guarantee that you wont experience an outbreak but it does minimize the likelihood of a breakout.

  • Yes! There needs to be at least 6 week gap between the appointments.If you are considering filler, I would recommend lip filler first then lip blush.

  • With lip blushing, the color is designed to enhance your natural lip color. Depending on what your starting point is, will depend on where we can go with your color! Keep in mind that this is a tattoo and something that you'll be walking around with everyday! Multiple sessions are often required to get to desired goal!

  • Depending on multiple factors such as lifestyle and skin type, these services can last anywhere from 2-5+ years without an additional touch up. It all depends on how much they have faded, not neccessarily time frame. You want them to be at least 60% faded before we do any type of color boost.

  • While lip blushing has the power to change your lip color, it will not be able to cover freckles or moles permanently! You will still be able to see the freckles or moles on your lip through your cosmetic tattoo depending on shade of color chosen.

  • If you have ANY sort of previous work done at ANY point in time, please send photos for approval PRIOR to booking an appointment! Previous work must be at least 70% faded before we can tattoo over them to ensure the most natural results!

Mapping:

Because we can't change your lip shape, the mapping will be about redefining the exact border of your lips while trying to address any minor asymmetry. Please note that the symmetry adjustments are very minor if possible!  

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Tattooing:

Once the mapping is finished, we get straight into the tattooing, numbing is applied and we begin tattooing. Headphones are encouraged or anything that would make the process more comfortable for you! 

Book Touch Up:

At the end of your appointment we will discuss aftercare and what to expect during the healing process. We will set up your touch up for 6-12 weeks and you are off to enjoy your day!

Consultation:

Before every appointment we will begin by discussing your goals, your unique lips and expectations, making sure you are very informed throughout the whole process.
